Clean Water Week 2025

We're celebrating Clean Water Week, June 1-7, 2025!  

The City of Portland Water Resources team, in the Department of Public Works, will celebrate Clean Water Week, June 1-7, 2025. Established in 1983, Clean Water Week is celebrated to recognize the value, importance, and need to protect and conserve our water resources. In collaboration with local partners, City staff has organized clean-up events, educational tours, kids’ activities, and volunteer opportunities to recognize and celebrate clean water in Portland. Many of the events are free and open to the public.

Clean Water Week calls upon each citizen to help protect our source waters from pollution, practice water conservation, and get involved in local water issues to protect and celebrate this priceless resource.  Your participation helps to ensure that we will all be able to rely on a safe and dependable supply of clean water both now and in the future. Please join us and help spread the word about the importance of clean water and celebrate those doing their part in keeping our waters clean in our community.
